Perth Transport Futures Project

Phase 1 – A9/A85Junction Improvement and Link Road to Bertha Park

The project is an integrated series of measures to address Perth’s long term transportation needs and ensure Perth’s growth does not compromise the national trunk road network.  It is the vision for the future transport network of Perth and the surrounding area.  The infrastructure project will deliver an estimated £500m of public benefit to the local economy.

New Road Infrastructure:
·         Grade separated junction of the A9/A85
·         Link road from A9 to Inveralmond Industrial Estate
·         Roundabout access - Inveralmond, Ruthvenfield and Almond Valley
·         Link road to Bertha Park and new secondary school
·         New footbridge over A9 dual carriageway
·         Diversion of the Lade including re-establishment of pedestrian ‘right of way’
·         New and improved cyclist / pedestrian network
·         Linked Traffic Signals / CCTV
