Abstract: The Highland Council and its project partners (The Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Environment Scotland through ICHT and Inverness BID) are anticipating they will be inviting quotes from suitably experienced professionals to undertake delivery of a two year programme of Traditional Building Skills Training Courses. The training provision will be a component of the Inverness Townscape Heritage (TH) Project for Academy Street.
Contractors shall be invited to quote using the Quick Quote facility on Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) http://www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk which is anticipated to be in June 2017.

Back Ground -
Inverness Townscape Heritage (TH) project is a grant-giving initiative jointly funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Environment Scotland (through Inverness City Heritage Trust), The Highland Council and Business Gateway. Between 2015 and 2020 The Highland Council and its project partners plan to invest around £6 million on Academy Street with the aim of helping to regenerate the area through investing in its unique and rich heritage. The funding will be used to:
• Repair and restore the areas important historic buildings and structures.
• Improve Station Square
• Restore shopfronts to their traditional design.
• Bring vacant floorspace back into use.
• Engage the community and help local people learn more about their heritage.
• Provide training and job opportunities linked to the conservation of traditional buildings and historic environments.

Please note that this notice is an invitation for expressions of interest to deliver traditional building skills events, as per the main notice. This method of procurement has been chosen to ascertain which companies are interested in delivering the training. The Academy Street Townscape Heritage Project will invite a selected number of organisations to submit a quotation, based upon a draft contract: this will be issued after the deadline date of 12 May 2017.
