2.1 Title

Greenspace Landscaping Works at New Craigs Hospital

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

NHS Highland, in conjunction with the Green Exercise Partnership, plans to carry out a series of improvements to the grounds and landscaping at New Craigs Psychiatric Hospital in Inverness with the aim of improving the health and well being of staff, patients and the wider community through providing more opportunities for outdoor exercise and therapy, and general improvements to the external environment.

2.4 Total quantity or scope of tender

The works shall encompass three main areas of improvement on the New Craigs site including a garden space associated with the dementia ward, improvements to paths and signposting to encourage walking on the site and a 'hub' or village green type space.

The funding available is approx. £380,000 + VAT. All works will be external and purely landscaping with no work to existing building and no new connections to mechanical or electrical services.
